Strategic Achievement

Since July 2019, EMPATIKU has facilitated four villages in Tangerang City and South Tangerang to empower community resilience capacities and develop community-based early warning systems that protect people from the ideology of violent extremism. This program is implemented in partnership with C-SAVE (Civil Society Against Violent Extremism).

Progress and Program Achievements

  • 2018 - 2020

    Community Resilience

    The activities of this two-year program include

    1. Introducing the program to local governments and obtaining program implementation licenses from the regional government;
    2. Selection of village location;
    3. EWS Village Team Selection;
    4. Village Team Training;
    5. Simulation of EWS Standard Operating Procedure;
    6. Public awareness raising activities;
    7. Development of EWS Village Regulations;
    8. Coordination meetings between regional governments;
    9. Community creative initiatives to take advantage of social cohesion;
    10. National Reflection Meeting.
